Cookie Policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences or provide information to the site owner. Similar technologies, such as local storage in your browser, work in much the same way. In this policy we use "cookies" to cover all of them.

How we use cookies

We keep our use of cookies to a minimum. At the moment, our website does not use any analytics cookies, advertising cookies or tracking cookies, and we do not use cookies to build a profile of you or show you adverts on other websites.

Your browser may store a small amount of information to remember simple preferences, for example settings that help a page display properly for you. This information stays on your device and is not used to identify you.

Third party services

Our website loads fonts from Google Fonts, a service provided by Google. When your browser requests these fonts, it connects to Google's servers, which means Google may receive technical information such as your IP address and details of your browser. We do not control how Google uses this information. You can read more in Google's own privacy policy.

If we link to other websites, such as GOV.UK or industry bodies, those sites may set their own cookies once you visit them. Please check their policies for details.

How to control cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:

  • See which cookies are stored and delete them individually or all at once.
  • Block cookies from particular sites or from third parties.
  • Block all cookies.
  • Clear all browsing data when you close the browser.

The help pages for your browser explain how to do this. Popular browsers include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Microsoft Edge. If you block all cookies and similar storage, some websites may not work as expected, although our site should continue to work normally.

For general information about cookies and how to manage them, the Information Commissioner's Office has guidance at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we add analytics or any other cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will update this policy before doing so and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first through a cookie banner or similar tool. The date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last updated.
