Large teams, deployed to a deadline
As a manpower supply company, we focus on the jobs where headcount has to rise sharply for a set period. That might be a retailer's distribution centre gearing up for the Christmas peak, a food plant adding shifts for a seasonal line, or a planned maintenance shutdown where contractors need labour support around the clock for a fortnight. We also supply crews for festivals, site relocations and large fit-outs where the work is intense but short.
These jobs succeed or fail on planning. We work back from your start date, agreeing numbers by shift, the skills mix, the tickets required and how inductions will run. Recruitment starts well ahead, with candidates registered, checked and briefed before day one so they arrive with the right PPE and know where to report. For larger deployments we appoint team leaders from within the group who report to your site management, and we can discuss transport options where a site is hard to reach by public transport.
Once the team is in place, we manage attendance daily and keep a reserve list of checked candidates to cover drop-outs. When the peak or project ends, we stand the team down in stages to match your wind-down. We also keep notes on who performed well, so the core of the same team can be brought back for your next peak or shutdown without starting from nothing.

Why choose a dedicated manpower supply partner
Planned back from your start date
We agree a recruitment timeline that works back from day one, with checkpoints for candidate numbers, document checks and inductions, so nothing is left to the final week.
Team leaders from within the group
For larger deployments we appoint experienced workers as team leaders, giving your site managers a single point of contact on each shift.
A reserve list for drop-outs
We keep checked, available candidates on standby throughout the deployment, so absences can be covered quickly without lowering the standard of the team.
Staged stand-down
When the work tapers off, we reduce numbers in stages to match your plan, which keeps costs under control and avoids paying for idle hours.
Checks at scale
Large deployments put pressure on checks, and that is exactly when mistakes happen. Every worker has a right to work check completed and recorded before they start, however tight the timeline. Where a role needs a CSCS card, forklift certificate, SIA licence or other ticket, we verify it before deployment. We also monitor hours so that long shutdown shifts stay within the Working Time Regulations, including rest breaks.
- Right to work checks for every worker, no exceptions
- Tickets and cards verified before deployment
- PPE requirements confirmed in advance
- Site induction records kept for each worker
- Daily attendance and hours reporting

Frequently asked questions
How much notice do you need for a large team?
The more the better. For general labour, a few weeks gives us time to recruit, check and induct properly. Teams needing specific tickets or security checks need longer. We can respond to urgent requests, but we will always tell you honestly what numbers we can deliver to the standard you need.
Is there a minimum number of workers?
Manpower supply is designed for teams rather than single bookings, but we do not set a strict minimum. If you only need one or two people, our labour hire or staffing services may suit you better. Tell us your headcount and how long you need the team, and we will recommend the right approach.
How do you handle workers who do not show up?
We expect some drop-out on any large deployment and plan for it. A reserve list of checked candidates is kept for the duration, and our team leaders or coordinator report absences early in the shift. Replacements are sent as quickly as possible, same day where possible, so your numbers stay close to plan.
Can you help with transport or accommodation?
For remote sites or projects that draw workers from a wide area, talk to us about the options. We can discuss organising minibus transport or helping workers find local accommodation, with the cost basis agreed with you in advance. These arrangements are not included as standard and are planned per project.
How are large deployments invoiced?
Invoices are based on approved hours at the agreed charge rates, usually weekly. Different rates can apply for team leaders, ticketed roles, nights and weekends, and these are agreed before the work starts. We provide a breakdown by worker and shift so your finance team can check it against site records.
